IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING THE PASSAGE OF PROPOSITION 30 AND THE REMAINDER OF THE 2012-13 SCHOOL YEAR
On Tuesday, November 6, 2012, the citizens of California voted to approve Proposition 30. This represents a significant victory for public education. Although it does not provide additional funding for schools beyond current budget allocations by the State to school Districts, it does stop the need for further reductions.
The good news is that as a result of the passage of Proposition 30, the Antelope Valley Union High School District is able to restore instructional days to the current school year calendar current school year calendar.
Specifically, December 20-21, 2012 and January 14, 2013 are now back on the calendar as student school days. Additionally, the last day of school will remain May 31, 2013.
If you have any questions, please contact your home school for additional details.
